Families Supplied

Austenitic, ferritic, martensitic, duplex and precipitation-hardening stainless families, supplied to the material standard, grade and test requirements stated on your drawing or purchase order.

Process Selection

Small precision parts → investment casting. Large complex bodies → sand casting. Tubes, sleeves and rolls → centrifugal casting. Monmet picks the route that best balances tolerances, cost and lead time.

Post-Processing

Solution annealing, pickling and passivation are part of the standard supply route. Surface finishes can be ground, polished or electropolished to food and pharma standards.

Frequently Asked Questions

Austenitic stainless castings offer good general corrosion resistance and weldability. Duplex grades combine higher strength with better resistance to chloride pitting and stress corrosion. The family and grade are selected to match your service environment and specified on your drawing or purchase order.

Duplex stainless grades combine high strength with excellent chloride and stress-corrosion resistance — ideal for seawater, oilfield and aggressive chemical service. Monmet supplies duplex castings to the grade specified on your drawing or purchase order.
