What happens during an overhaul
The reducer is disassembled and each element examined — tooth condition and contact pattern, shaft journals, bearing housings, seals and the housing casting. A findings report is issued before repair is authorised, so you decide what is replaced.
Where the replacement parts come from
Gears, pinions, shafts, bronze bushings and bearings are manufactured through Monmet's foundry, forge and gear shop network from measured data or the original drawing — no dependence on OEM spares for a discontinued unit.
When replacement makes more sense
A cracked housing, a ratio that no longer suits the duty, or a model the OEM no longer supports usually points to a drop-in gearbox built to the same mounting footprint instead of a rebuild.
