Every casting starts as tooling. Monmet has patterns, core boxes and dies built to suit the alloy, the molding process and the quantity — and keeps the tooling identified and stored so a repeat order does not restart from zero.

Pattern Types
Wood patterns for one-off and low-volume heavy castings, resin and metal patterns where repeat production or tighter dimensional repeatability justifies them, plus the core boxes needed for internal passages.
Built for the Process
Tooling is designed around the molding system it will run in — green sand, no-bake or resin-bonded — with the correct shrinkage allowance for the alloy, draft, machining stock and gating for sound feeding.
Tooling Records
Patterns are identified against your part number and retained, so a repeat order is a production run rather than a new tooling project. Existing customer-owned tooling can also be assessed, repaired or modified.
