Where a component is sound but its running surfaces are worn, resurfacing is usually faster and cheaper than replacement. Monmet coordinates surface restoration on shafts, rollers, trunnions and wear faces, bringing them back to drawing dimensions.

What Gets Resurfaced
Shaft and trunnion journals, support and thrust roller faces, riding ring contact surfaces, bearing seats and bushing bores — the surfaces that wear while the body of the component stays serviceable.
Restore or Replace
We assess whether the base component is sound enough to justify resurfacing. When it is not, the same measurements feed straight into a new cast, forged or machined replacement, so no time is lost in the assessment.
Wear-Resistant Alloys
Where wear is the recurring failure mode, the replacement can be produced in a more wear-resistant alloy family instead of the original grade — cast to the grade and hardness stated on your drawing or purchase order.
Chromium Carbide Overlay Plate
For applications with extremely high abrasive wear, we can supply chromium carbide overlay plate, cut and formed to the liner or chute profile you need.
