What size forged trunnion shafts can be supplied?

Shaft forms
Round bars, single and double hubs, single and double step-downs and discs are all standard open-die forms. Larger trunnions are typically produced as open-die forgings and finish-machined to the bearing and flange interfaces.
Why forged rather than cast
Forging aligns grain flow along the shaft axis, which improves fatigue strength at fillets and step transitions — the areas where rotating shafts usually fail. For a high-cycle, high-torque shaft that is the deciding advantage.
